M.Des.+ BE Mech/production Engg with 10-15 years in / Seating Industries/Furniture/ Appliance/Auto

Experience & skills

10-15 years in leading the team for new product development and technology. Must have a proven record for understand business product needs and driving thought leadership thru innovative products.

Primary Function

Responsible for deriving innovation and delivering new product as per business plan. Leading cost and product performance improvement across product category

Responsibilities:

1. Identifying product gaps and leading innovation thru new product plan for business.
2. Benchmarking intra and inter national competition to identify new product trend.
3. Developing the product with right material/cost and time
4. Drive product customization based on project requirement
5. Develop vendor and processes as per new product intend and need for NPI Buy products
6. Drive product performance improvement along with technology to meet the market requirement
7. Drive cost leadership along with SCM.
8. Driver product cost optimization
9. Carrying out various activities related to Environment, Health & Safety through cross function team.

Authorities (empowered to take decisions)

1. Financial:      Cost & Capex target and adherence for new products

2. Operational:  Material, Processes and vendor selection for new products.
