Position Overview:

The Plant Head for Wipro Hydraulics’ facility in Jaipur will be responsible for end-to-end operations in a state of the art plant, including Production, Quality, Maintenance, Supply Chain, EHS (Environment, Health & Safety), and People Management. The role entails driving operational excellence, customer satisfaction, cost efficiency, and employee engagement while ensuring strict adherence to safety, quality, and compliance standards.


Key Responsibilities:

1. Operations & Production:

  • Lead day-to-day plant operations to meet production targets, quality standards, and delivery commitments.
  • Drive operational efficiency, productivity, and cost optimization initiatives.
  • Ensure optimal capacity utilization, resource planning, and production scheduling.

2. Quality & Customer Focus:

  • Ensure delivery of products that meet or exceed customer expectations on quality and timelines.
  • Collaborate with Quality teams to implement robust quality control and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Drive customer-centric culture within the plant.

3. Safety, Health & Environment:

  • Champion EHS initiatives and ensure full compliance with company policies and statutory regulations.
  • Foster a safety-first culture across the workforce.
  • Continuously identify and mitigate risks related to plant operations.

4. People Leadership:

  • Build, lead, and develop a high-performing plant team.
  • Foster a culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous learning.
  • Drive employee engagement, retention, and capability development initiatives.

5. Cost & Budget Management:

  • Develop and manage plant budgets in line with business objectives.
  • Identify and execute cost reduction and process improvement projects.
  • Ensure optimal inventory management and working capital efficiency.

6. Compliance & Reporting:

  • Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and corporate governance requirements.
  • Prepare and present periodic performance reports to senior management.
  • Drive audits and ensure timely closure of non-conformities.

Desired Profile:

  • Graduate Engineer (Mechanical/Production/Industrial Engineering preferred); Postgraduate qualification is an advantage.
  • 20-25 years of relevant manufacturing leadership experience, preferably in hydraulics, automotive, heavy engineering, or related industries.
  • Proven experience in leading plant operations, driving efficiency, and building high-performance teams.
  • Strong understanding of lean manufacturing, quality systems (ISO, TS/IRIS, etc.), and EHS standards.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work in a matrix environment and drive cross-functional collaboration.
