Job Summary:

Responsible for operating and monitoring the Continuous Saponification Plant (CSP) to ensure efficient production of soap noodles or soap base. Ensures quality parameters, safety compliance, and optimum plant performance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate and monitor CSP equipment including crutchers, reactors, heat exchangers, and pumps.

• Maintain and control process parameters such as temperature, pressure, flow rate, and pH.

• Conduct sampling and coordinate with the Quality Control team for testing of soap base.

• Ensure proper loading and unloading of raw materials (fats, oils, caustic, etc.) and control the chemical feed.

• Record process data and update production logs on shift-wise basis.

• Attend minor maintenance tasks and inform maintenance team for major issues.

• Ensure compliance with GMP, safety, and housekeeping norms.

• Assist in start-up, shutdown, and cleaning of CSP plant during changeovers or maintenance.

• Report abnormalities, breakdowns, or deviations to Shift In-charge immediately.

Qualifications & Skills:

• ITI / Diploma in Chemical / Mechanical Engineering.

• 2–5 years of experience in CSP or similar saponification operations.

• Knowledge of soap chemistry and process instrumentation.

• Good understanding of EHS (Environment, Health, Safety) standards.

• Team player with good communication skills.
