Job Title:  Manager.                    

Function / Department: Production.

Qualification: BE / Diploma – Mechanical / Metallurgist Engineering.

Desired Experience: 14 to 15 years, of which at least 3 years should be in a similar role in a reputed manufacturing company- Machine shop and heat treatment.

Key Skills Required:

  • Aligning resources to meet the customer requirement and billing plan on weekly/monthly basis through production planning and control activities.
  • Measure, review with team and monitor performance parameters on daily basis and work on gaps proactively to recover.
  • Assessing the situation and identifying the probable resistance / risks ahead – Initiating the proactive actions towards achieving the results.
  • Training, qualifying, and deploying the right person at right place – Multiskilling
  • Ensuring quality in all processes, Drive for RCA and deployment of preventive actions in place
  • Maintain employee discipline / 5S in the plant.
  • Maintaining healthy IR in the shop floor through resolving operator voices.
  • Ensuring continuous improvement in the shop floor through 100% TEI and high level of motivation to the team.

 

Key Metrics:

 

●     Safety – zero incidents. No proactive improvements on safety. Identifying and addressing            unsafe actions and conditions.

●    OTIF > 95% Weekly – On time delivery in full to all customers on weekly basis

●    Employee Productivity - >95% 

●    WIP inventory as per agreed targets

●    Number of improvements and participation

●    Rejection PPM – drive for zero defect

●     Improvement through -TPM, Lean manufacturing etc.,

 

Key Competencies:

 

●    Working knowledge of manufacturing processes like Steel machining (CNC, VMC, SPM…), heat treatment, grinding, welding, plating, and superfinishing, corrosion resistance process.

●    Production planning & man management – Handling the various situation in the shop floor, LTS process in unionized environment.

●    ETP /STP process understanding in hazardous process

●    Team building ability & Coordination towards results

●     Emotional stability and good social skills

●     Result oriented with a bias towards action

●     Good communication abilities – both oral and written. English and Hindi are must

●     Basic knowledge of Finance
