Eligible Criteria for Internal applicants: Minimum 2 years’ experience required in the current role (mandatory)

Candidate Profile:

• BE (Mechanical); Post Graduate course in Materials Management is an advantage.
• 15-20 years of experience in Materials/Supply Chain Management of a medium sized engineering industry.
• Good people management skills

Key Skills Required and Accountabilities:

• Proven record in material planning, procurement, inventory management, subcontract management and logistics.
• Strong in systems and processes in a SAP environment.
• Responsible to maintain a strong and just-in-time supply chain to support seamless delivery in Operations.  
• Understand and manage risks to minimize impact on production schedule
• Take follow-up actions in relation to material shortages that affect production
• Implement all processes to agreed standards and targets and support continuous improvement initiatives and identify areas of improvement
• Utilize Material Requirements Planning system (MRP) or IT system that is in place and ensure that data is accurate and up to date and resolve any issues as required
• Managing & maintaining the records IATF , EMS OHSAS,
• Maintains appropriate inventory levels.
• Good Knowledge about the Imports, Custom clearance, liaisoning with CHA etc
• Manage relations with suppliers, vendors and sub-contractors etc.
• Must possess strong interpersonal skills and must exhibit good leadership abilities

This position reports into Head - Plant Operations.
