Qualification: Diploma / BE in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related discipline

Desired Experience required:

• 10 – 12 years of experience in New Product Development, Design Engineering, Product Industrialisation, or Manufacturing Engineering.

• Experience in APQP, PPAP, FMEA, Control Plans, Problem Solving, and Project Management.

• Automotive or heavy engineering industry experience preferred.

Position Summary

The Senior Engineer – NPD is responsible for leading the development and industrialisation of new products from concept through production launch. The role involves coordinating with customers, design teams, suppliers, manufacturing, quality, and sourcing functions to ensure timely delivery of products meeting quality, cost, and performance targets.

Key Responsibilities

1. Product Development.

1. Lead new product development projects from RFQ to SOP (Start of Production).
2. Review customer drawings, specifications, and technical requirements.
3. Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments.
4. Develop design concepts and manufacturing processes.
5. Coordinate prototype development and validation activities.

2. Project Management.

1. Prepare and maintain project plans, timelines, and milestone reviews.
2. Monitor project progress, budget, and risks.
3. Lead cross-functional project review meetings.
4. Ensure timely completion of deliverables.

3. Manufacturing Industrialisation.

1. Develop manufacturing process flow, control plans, and PFMEA.
2. Support tooling development and equipment qualification.
3. Establish standard operating procedures and work instructions.
4. Coordinate pilot production and process validation.

3. Quality & Validation.

1. Plan and execute product validation testing.
2. Lead APQP, PPAP, and customer approval activities.
3. Analyse product failures and implement corrective actions.
4. Ensure compliance with customer and regulatory requirements.
