Job Title: Quality Management System (QMS) Engineer

Reports To: Quality Manager / QMS Lead

Job Summary:

The QMS Engineer is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining the Quality Management System in accordance with ISO standards and customer requirements. This role ensures compliance, drives continuous improvement, and supports audits and quality initiatives across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and maintain QMS documentation (procedures, work instructions, forms).
• Ensure compliance with ISO 9001:2015, AS9100 Rev D and other applicable standards (e.g., ISO27001, NADCAP, API).
• Conduct internal audits and coordinate external audits (certification, customer, regulatory).
• Monitor and report on quality KPIs and QMS performance.
• Lead root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA).
• Facilitate Management Review Meetings and maintain related records.
• Train employees on QMS procedures and quality awareness.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives (e.g., Kaizen, 5S, Lean).
• Manage document control and change management processes.
• Liaise with cross-functional teams to ensure quality objectives are met.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field.
• 6–10 years of experience in a QMS or quality assurance role in manufacturing field.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001, AS9100D, ISO27001 or similar standards.
• Internal Auditor certification is a plus.
• Proficiency in MS Office and QMS software/tools.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in manufacturing or aerospace industry. IATF 16949 exposure is nice to have.
• Familiarity with tools like FMEA, SPC, MSA, and APQP.
• Problem-solving methodologies (8D, DMAIC, etc.).
• Additive manufacturing, Metallurgy, material science awareness would be a plus.
