Job Title: Sales Lead – Oil & Gas

Location: Bengaluru, India

Position Summary:

Wipro 3D is seeking a Sales Lead – Oil & Gas to lead business development efforts for metal Additive Manufacturing (AM) and digital manufacturing solutions within the Oil & Gas sector. This role demands a techno-commercial professional with strong experience in industrial equipment, capital machinery, and project-based sales.

 

The ideal candidate has 8–10 years of experience in the Oil & Gas, Power, or Process industries, with a mechanical engineering background and a strong understanding of equipment reliability, rotating equipment, and aftermarket solutions. The candidate will drive adoption of 3D-printed parts, reverse engineering services, and advanced manufacturing technologies to address critical challenges faced by Oil & Gas clients—such as downtime, legacy parts availability, and performance optimization.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Sales & Business Development – Oil & Gas:

  • Drive business acquisition and sales growth for Wipro 3D’s additive manufacturing (AM) and digital engineering solutions targeted at Oil & Gas clients (upstream, midstream, downstream).
  • Engage with refineries, EPCs, OEMs, and PSU clients (e.g., ONGC, IOCL, MRPL, HOEC) to position 3D printing as a strategic solution for maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) needs.
  • Collaborate with internal engineering teams to develop component re-engineering, spares optimization, and digital part library offerings tailored to Oil & Gas equipment challenges.

Project & Key Account Management:

  • Own end-to-end project sales including opportunity identification, requirement gathering, proposal preparation, techno-commercial negotiations, and contract closure.
  • Manage complex solution selling cycles involving rotary equipment, seals, couplings, pump components, and pressure system parts used in Oil & Gas environments.
  • Work closely with design and production teams to translate client needs into AM-ready designs and manufacturing plans.

Market & Customer Engagement:

  • Leverage existing industry relationships and conduct outreach to expand Wipro 3D’s footprint in Oil & Gas (PSUs, private refiners, EPCs).
  • Deliver technical presentations and participate in vendor meets, technical summits, and industry events related to Oil & Gas and advanced manufacturing.
  • Generate leads through industry events, digital tools and targeted campaigns focused on asset reliability and lifecycle extension.

Commercial Execution & Strategic Input:

  • Support tender responses, RFPs, and long-term rate contracts with PSU and EPC clients.
  • Monitor sales pipeline, conversion ratios, and account receivables.
  • Provide market intelligence and feedback on AM adoption trends, client pain points, and product development opportunities in Oil & Gas.

 

Required Qualifications & Skills:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related technical discipline.

Experience:

  • 8–10 years in technical B2B sales, preferably with exposure to Oil & Gas, Power, or Process industries.
  • Strong understanding of rotary equipment, mechanical seals, couplings, and capital/aftermarket equipment used in Oil & Gas applications.
  • Experience in selling to clients such as IOCL, ONGC, MRPL, HOEC, BHEL, and EPCs like L&T, TATA Projects, etc.
  • Prior exposure to or strong interest in Additive Manufacturing, 3D Printing, or digital manufacturing is a strong advantage.

Core Competencies:

  • Strong techno-commercial skills with ability to articulate complex engineering solutions to technical and procurement stakeholders.
  • Experience in handling PSU and Government clients, including tendering, bid submission, and rate contract negotiation.
  • Proficiency in CRM tools, reporting, and lead generation platforms.
  • Self-driven, able to operate independently, and work cross-functionally.

Languages: English, Hindi ,Kannada

 

Preferred Industry Background:

  • Industrial equipment manufacturers or solution providers (e.g., EagleBurgmann, Flowserve, KBL)
  • EPC contractors or O&G solution integrators
  • Experience working with or selling to Oil & Gas PSUs and their subcontractors.
