Role Description:
Responsible for CNC programming, process development, prototype machining, fixture and tooling development, and manufacturing engineering activities to support new product development and production improvement initiatives. The role involves process planning, cycle time optimization, prototype execution, CNC machining operations, and cross-functional coordination to ensure quality, cost, and delivery objectives are achieved.
Additionally, the role involves:
- Developing CNC machining processes for new products and prototypes.
- Creating and optimizing CNC programs for machining centers, turning centers, and turn-mill centers.
- Developing fixtures, tooling concepts, and machining strategies for various components.
- Conducting cycle time studies and identifying productivity improvement opportunities.
- Ensuring first-time-right manufacturing and reducing scrap levels.
- Supporting new product development activities through APQP processes and manufacturing readiness.
- Coordinating with R&D, Design, Manufacturing, and Quality teams for successful project execution.
- Managing prototype shop activities and ensuring on-time delivery of samples and trials.
- Driving continuous process improvements, tool optimization, and machining excellence.
Qualification:
- BE / B.Tech – Mechanical Engineering
OR - Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
Desired Experience:
- 6 to 8 years of experience in CNC Programming, Manufacturing Engineering, Prototype Development, or Process Engineering.
Eligibility Criteria for Internal Applicants:
- Minimum experience in the current role: 2 years
- Minimum performance criteria (HVC/MR for last 2 years): HVC
- Grade criteria: WIN F1 / WIN F / WIPRO WATER B2 / WIPRO WATER B1

- Experience in prototype machining and new product development.
- Strong exposure to CNC programming, fixture development, and manufacturing engineering.
- Practical knowledge of Hydraulic Cylinder manufacturing processes will be an added advantage.
- Experience in cycle time optimization and productivity improvement projects.
