Job Description & Requirements:

• Role – Sourcing & Supplier development – Raw materials (Tubes /Rolled bars /Plated bars)
• Designation: Sr. Engineer/Assistant Manager
• Educational Qualifications:  BE / BTech Mechanical
• Experience Required: 7-11 Experience
• Industry of experience preferred: Steel mills experience  manufacturing will be considered Responsibilities & Key Deliverables:

1. Initiate idea generation activities from a value/cost optimization perspective
2. Drive value/cost improvement projects into implementation
3. Develop technical expertise on tubes & Rounds commodity as required with emphasis on first-pass yield and sustainability within the supply chain working closely with the regional procurement team.
4. Control supplier Q,C,D & S performance
5. Hands-on Experience to develop dual strategy suppliers.
6. The candidate must be able to work with minimal technical supervision and supplemental engineering support while responding efficiently to multiple development project priorities.
7. The candidate should have good exposure to handling steel mill & Tube mill Procurement & development activities.
8. The candidate should have good exposure to SAP T codes.
9. Search for potential suppliers through various ways (exhibitions, internet) and explore cost-competitive suppliers with the right Quality.
10. Implementing / Coordinating the inventory optimization strategies within the company along with the material team.
11. Negotiating price, quantity, and delivery schedules with suppliers with the right Approach as per sourcing guidelines.
12. Assessing quotes and compiling a detailed assessment of cost breakdowns.
13. Providing solutions to improve company spending and outsourcing.
14. Rectify and resolve the technical issues that render the continuous supply of products with the help of SQA.
15. Implementation of tube suppliers’ Warehouse concept
16. Price info, SAP knowledge on the commodity parts newly developed components, and during raw material price changes as per commodity requirement.
17. Technical feasibility study and sign-offs with concerned stakeholders / Process owners.
