Desired Candidate Profile:

Qualifications:

• BE / BTech in Mechanical Engineering

Experience:

• 6 to 12  years of relevant experience in sourcing and supply chain within the engineering, automotive, or multinational corporate sectors.

Key Skills Required:

• Proven expertise in strategic sourcing and supply chain management, specifically within the manufacturing or auto component industry.
• Strong preference for experience with machined components, bought-out items, and sheet metal components.
• Demonstrated ability in vendor identification, evaluation, and development, particularly for machined components.
• Essential knowledge of costing techniques and effective negotiation skills.
• Proficiency in SAP.
• Excellent communication skills, coupled with high energy and enthusiasm.
• Ability to develop and maintain a robust supplier base, including the sourcing of steel machining components and sheet metal parts.
• Analytical skills to identify and address the root causes of issues swiftly.
• Initiative to lead Value Engineering and Cost Reduction projects.
• A proactive approach, with a proven track record of seizing and capitalizing on opportunities.

Position Details:

Key Accountabilities:

• Selecting, evaluating, and developing suppliers to enhance quality, cost, delivery, and service standards (QCDS).
• Overseeing the development of components at supplier locations to ensure quality and efficiency.
• Managing cost estimation, price negotiation, and contract finalization.
• Implementing strategies to improve and maintain the delivery performance of suppliers.
