- Leadership & Team Management:
- Lead and manage a team of Proposal Managers and Engineers in the preparation of technically sound and competitive bids for water treatment projects.
- Mentor and provide guidance to the team on technical aspects, costing, and proposal preparation.
- Proposal Preparation & Bid Management:
- Oversee the preparation of comprehensive proposals, ensuring all technical and commercial aspects are included.
- Review and finalize technical documents, ensuring compliance with project specifications, relevant standards, and client requirements.
- Ensure timely submission of bids and proposals while maintaining a high level of quality and accuracy.
- Cost Estimation & Budgeting:
- Conduct thorough cost estimation for each project, considering all elements of cost within the water treatment industry.
- Develop and maintain a detailed database of cost elements, technologies, and suppliers for accurate proposal generation.
- Source alternative technologies to optimize costs, increase efficiency, and differentiate the offering in the market.
- Support project management and procurement in mitigation and resolution of cost overruns
- Stakeholder Management:
- Collaborate closely with suppliers, consultants, and contractors to gather accurate technical information, cost estimates, and quotations for proposals.
- Attend technical and commercial meetings with clients, consultants, and vendors as necessary to discuss proposal requirements and project execution plans.
- Interact effectively with internal departments (Engineering, Procurement, Projects, Site, etc.) to ensure alignment on project scope and execution.
- Regulatory & Compliance Awareness:
- Ensure awareness and compliance with relevant statutory taxes, duties, and industry regulations.
- Stay updated on the latest national and international codes, standards, and best practices for water treatment turnkey projects.
- Technology & Tools:
- Stay current on the latest software tools and technologies used in the water treatment industry for proposal preparation and project management.
- Leverage technology to enhance proposal accuracy and streamline the bidding process.
- Post-Bid & Approval:
- Prepare and obtain client approval for the Bid Evaluation Plan (BEP) post-order award.
- Monitor the transition of the bid to the execution phase, ensuring a smooth handover to the project execution team.
- Talent Management
- Ability to attract best talent from industry and nurture / mentor talent in team
- Travel:
- Willingness to travel across India and overseas as required to meet clients

- Maintain a deep understanding of the latest developments in ETP, STP, and WTP, ensuring that the company’s offerings are competitive and innovative.
